Where can I camp in Iceland?

Wild camping is not permitted in most areas of Iceland. You must park overnight in designated campsites. There are over 200 registered campsites around the country — many open year-round.

What should I know about driving in Iceland?

Iceland’s weather and road conditions can change quickly. Always check road.is and safetravel.is before driving. Reduce speed on gravel roads and beware of strong winds. Using headlights is mandatory 24/7.

What should I do if the camper breaks down or I have an accident?

If you experience a mechanical issue or accident, contact our 24/7 assistance line immediately. We’ll guide you through the next steps and, if needed, send help or a replacement vehicle. In the event of an accident, always notify the police and obtain a report for insurance purposes.

Can I add a driver or extend my rental?

Yes — extra drivers can be added at pick-up or later for a small fee. To extend your rental, contact us as soon as possible so we can check availability.

Are there any restrictions on driving or fuel use?

Yes — off-road driving and river crossings are forbidden. You must use diesel or petrol, depending on your vehicle’s label. Return the vehicle with the same fuel level as at pick-up to avoid refuelling charges.

What should I check when picking up my camper?

Before you drive away, inspect the vehicle for existing damage, check that equipment is included (bedding, cooking gear, gas), and take photos if needed. Our team will review all features with you at handover.
